Hi! I’m Leonie, the creator of Biome and Founder of Lioness Games. Thank you for being here. :)
My love for board games started somewhere between playing Werewolf on German holidays with family and playing Settlers of Catan with one of my best friends every day after school for a year in high school. Since then, I have been a regular at various board game meetups across Europe and the US, been to the world’s largest board game convention 3 times (Essen Spiel in Germany, as both a visitor and exhibitor!) and watched my collection grow to over 80 board games.
Lioness Games is very much a family business, with my sister Josie contributing to the art and design of Biome and FaeKin, and my parents often come to help me run demos at conventions near and far.
Thank you to the amazing Biome Kickstarter backers that helped catapult Lioness Games to where it is today. I am grateful that I get to design my own games and publish games from other talented designers.
